Why the plans cannot be compared directly
Tidio bills in “billable conversations”. Their pricing page defines that as a conversation involving a human agent — precisely the thing Helpsy does not offer. Their AI conversations run on a separate allowance of their own. We deliberately do not quote their prices here: Tidio shows them behind a monthly/annual billing switch, and the figure differs by switch position. Rather than guess, we link their pricing page so you see the current figure yourself.
With Helpsy one visitor question counts as exactly one message — regardless of the model and regardless of how long the answer is. The bot's own replies are not counted at all.
What speaks for Helpsy
- Hosted in the EU — The language models run on Azure OpenAI in the EU. Your data does not leave European jurisdiction.
- GDPR compliant — The data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is included and available directly in your account.
- Deleted after 90 days — Conversations are removed automatically after 90 days. There is nothing for you to clean up.
- No training on your data — Your content and your customers' conversations are not used to train AI models.
- No VAT added — As a small business under § 19 UStG we invoice without VAT. The price shown is the price you pay.
- Works in your language — The interface is available in German, English and Italian. The chatbot itself understands and answers in virtually any language.
Where Tidio may be the better fit
In fairness: if your team should chat along themselves, if you want tickets, email and social channels in one inbox, or if you need genuine live chat with people, Tidio is the better tool. Helpsy does not replace agents in the chat — it answers recurring questions automatically.
